PixelRange fixtures contain miniature computer circuits to control their operation. The software that these computer circuits use is called 'firmware'. The firmware determines exactly how the fixture operates and can be updated to introduce new features. When choosing a user manual to use with your fixture it is important to know which version of firmware your fixture is using.
Discovering the firmware version of your fixture
There are two main ways to determine the firmware version:
• Look at the display during power up - the fixture will briefly show its firmware version on the display just after it has spelled out its name, e.g. 10 7 means firmware version 1.07
• Check within the fixture menu:
1. Press the MENU button to enter the fixture menu 2. Press the UP or DOWN buttons until 'INFO' is displayed 3. Press the ENTER button. The display should now show 'VER’ 4. Press the ENTER button. The display should now show 'CPU’ 5. Press the ENTER button. The display should now show the firmware version, e.g. '10 7’
